Application: as a solitaire or hedge.  Qualities: evergreen conifer, bears full sun or half shadow, winterhard, wind and cityclimate proof.  Foliage: blue-green.  An optimal bottom for this conifer is a damp, lime, humus bottom.  Growth on year basis: ca.  25-30 cm, width: ca 15-20 cm.  Uncut the conifer grows out to a medium-sized tree with a narrow pin form crown.  The Chamaecyparis Columnaris is suitable as a hedge plant, easy to cut and can grow on different grounds.  When the trees are regularly cut you have in a relative short time a evergreen, closed hedge.
